Pastel Whimsy At Birkby House
Julia and Will’s wedding at Birkby House was a celebration filled with garden romance and soft, painterly color. Their ceremony took place beneath a lush floral arbor overflowing with blooms in delicate pastels. Shades of soft yellow, blush pink, and creamy peach mingled with gentle accents of lavender and airy blue, creating a palette that felt both joyful and timeless. The arbor framed the couple beautifully as they exchanged vows, with abundant florals and greenery surrounding the historic brick setting and giving the ceremony a feeling of being tucked into a blooming garden.
Throughout the reception, the design continued with thoughtful, intimate floral moments. Cocktail hour featured charming bar details surrounded by colorful blooms, setting the tone for an evening that felt relaxed and inviting. Tables were layered with petite arrangements and delicate bud vases filled with garden roses, cosmos, dahlias, and seasonal flowers, paired with glowing candlelight that added warmth to the space. Long tables were styled with clusters of petite centerpieces and elegant tapers, creating a romantic rhythm of florals and light down the length of each table. At the head of the room, Julia and Will’s sweetheart table was framed by a lush floral mantle overflowing with greenery and blooms, accented with sculptural ikebana inspired arrangements that brought an artful and modern touch to the soft garden design.
